Most people (read: citizens of the internets) are familiar with LOLcats and the caustic, bite-size joy they evoke on otherwise boring forum threads, programming discussions, or sex chatrooms. It all started ten thousand years ago, when a few quirky captioned cat photos found their way to a meager collection, eventually giving birth to what we somehow know as LOLcats. Since then, there have been countless spinoffs, and here we will list a few trends that should continue, and some which should die a fiery, acid-bath death. The good trends we shall call NEEDZ MOAR:
NEEDZ MOAR:
lolmetal: Metal band photos, captioned.
lolspace: When da myspace has a caption.
omnomnomnom: Beauty in everyday objects.
And the other one, we shall call DO NOT WANT:
DO NOT WANT:
ICHC: They took over as the de facto, and the quality level has been strikingly low. Uh, I mean “O HAI I DOWNGRADED UR LULZ”
LOLcode: This is what happens when computer programmers try to have fun. Whoever thought that turning lolspeakz into useful machine code was a good idea is a classic case of EPIC FAIL.
So if you have any lolstuffs to share, you can share it. But quite honestly, nobody reads this. OH GOD I WANNA DIE
